Two-Sided Copying
This mode enables y'all to brand two-sided copies from i-sided or two-sided originals, or brand 1-sided copies from two-sided originals.
IMPORTANT |
When using [1-Sidedii-Sided] or [two-Sided1-Sided], make certain to place your originals correctly. Place originals with a horizontal (mural) orientation such as A4R and A5R horizontally. If these originals are placed vertically, the back side of the copy is printed upside down. Only A4 paper tin be used for [Book2-Sided]. Place your originals on the platen glass when using [Book2-Sided]. [Book2-Sided] cannot exist used when the original is placed in the feeder. |
NOTE |
Make sure to marshal your original correctly when copying in [ii-Sided]. Align the height edge of the original with the back edge of the platen glass (past the pointer in the peak left corner), or with the back edge of the feeder. Identify your originals in the feeder when using [2-Sided1-Sided]. |

Press [Copy].

Press [Options] → [2-Sided].
NOTE |
If [Automobile Collate] is ready to 'On', the Collate or Starting time Collate mode is automatically set when you place your originals in the feeder. (See "Enabling Auto Collating.") To make copies in the correct page order when using [Book2-Sided], begin copying from the first open folio of the volume or leap original. |

Select the blazon of 2-Sided copy.
1-Sided to ii-Sided:
This mode enables y'all to make two-sided copies from i-sided originals.
Press [1-Sided 2-Sided].
To set up the orientation for two-sided copies, press [Fix Details] → select the type of two-sided orientation → press [OK].
[Volume Type]: | The front and back sides of the copy will have the same top-lesser orientation. |
[Calendar Type]: | The front and back sides of the re-create volition have opposite superlative-lesser orientations. |
2-Sided to 2-Sided:
This mode enables you to make two-sided copies from two-sided originals. If y'all place a two-sided original in the feeder, both sides are scanned automatically. This mode copies both sides of an original in the feeder to one side of a single sheet of paper.
Press [2-Sided 2-Sided].
To set up the orientation of two-sided copies, press [Gear up Details] → select the original type and copy type → printing [OK].
Original
[Volume Type]: | The front and back sides of the original have the same top-bottom orientation. |
[Calendar Type]: | The front and back sides of the original have opposite top-lesser orientations. |
Copy
[Book Type]: | The front and back sides of the copy will have the same peak-bottom orientation. |
[Agenda Blazon]: | The front and back sides of the copy will accept opposite height-bottom orientations. |
ii-Sided to ane-Sided:
This mode enables yous to copy both sides of an original in the feeder onto dissever re-create sheets.
Press [ii-Sidedi-Sided].
To set the orientation for 1-sided copies, press [Set Details] → select the blazon of two-sided orientation → press [OK].
[Book Blazon]: | The front and back sides of the original have the same top-bottom orientation. |
[Calendar Type]: | The front end and back sides of the original have opposite top-bottom orientations. |
Book to 2-Sided:
This mode enables you to brand two-sided copies from facing pages. You can as well copy the forepart and dorsum sides of a page in bound originals such as books and magazines.
Left/Right ii-Sided
This setting makes two-sided copies from facing pages.
Front/Back 2-Sided
This setting makes two-sided copies from the front and dorsum sides of a folio.
Press [Book 2-Sided].
To gear up the orientation and type of 2-sided originals, press [Set Details] → select the type of two-sided orientation → printing [OK].
Copy Method
[Left/Right2-Sided]: | Copies the facing pages of a volume or bound original onto the front and dorsum sides of a single sheet of paper. |
[Front/Back2-Sided]: | Copies the front and back sides of the left page or the right page onto both sides of a single sheet of paper. |
To make copies in the correct page order, brainstorm copying from the first open page of the book or spring original.
Place your original face down, making sure that its meridian edge is aligned with the back edge of the platen glass (past the arrow in the top left corner).

After the concluding batch of originals is scanned, press [Offset Copying].

To re-create the adjacent 2 facing pages when using [Book2-Sided], turn the page of the original → identify your original on the platen drinking glass → press . |

For information on the modes which cannot be set in combination with this mode, come across "Unavailable Combination of Functions." You may not be able to re-create using this mode, depending on the paper quality. |
NOTE |
Paper used to brand two-sided prints must conform to the following specifications: Paper size: 305 mm x 457 mm, A3, A4, A4R, A5R, or Custom Size (139.7 mm 10 182 mm to 304.8 mm x 457.2 mm) (envelopes cannot be used for two-sided copying) Paper weight: 52 to 220 thousand/m2 When using [i-Sided2-Sided], if in that location are an odd number of originals, the dorsum side of the last copy is left bare. (The auto'southward counter does not count the bare folio as a re-create.) If you employ [i-Sided2-Sided] with [Dissimilar Size Originals], copies will be printed as one-sided copies on paper of their respective sizes. If yous desire to brand two-sided copies with different size originals, y'all must select the paper to copy to beforehand. When placing your originals on the platen glass to copy with [ii-Sidedii-Sided], follow the instructions displayed on the screen to scan each side of the originals. If you desire to place your ii-sided original on the platen glass to copy with [ii-Sided1-Sided], specify [Chore Build]. (Encounter "Job Build.") If y'all select the Front end/Dorsum two-Sided way when copying with [Volume2-Sided] set, the front end side of the first two-sided page and the dorsum side of the terminal two-sided folio are left blank.
